Family Update: Many changes are happening in the Wagner family. Due to health reasons, the family has moved permanently to Minnesota. Ruthie has stepped down from her translating project but Josh has been contracted to continue as Globa; Technology Specialist. He is taking a short time off for his health as well. We pray for continued healing and health for the family. We will update you when the family is serving again.

Born and raised in the Milwaukee area, Dan has a heart for the city and the people who live there. His Grandfather, a Milwaukee police officer for over 20 years, was known as Doc Bird because of the record numbers of babies he delivered in his time on the force. Dan is a product of his own faith journey and has a passion to help people experience what it took him too long to discover: a real, raw and relational walk with Jesus. It was when God intersected with Dan in this way, partially through his now wife, that his path changed and he began pursuing ministry. Stepping onto a college campus and meeting peers who lived their faith in real and radical ways turned Dan’s life upside down and he finally discovered what he had been missing in the years before and heard the Lord calling him to spend his life reaching out to others like him.
Dan has served as a pastor for over 18 years in a variety of capacities: from working in a larger congregation helping start a second campus to launching a new church plant with a small core of people. Most recently, he served as pastor of Mission and Discipleship for Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran in Pewaukee, WI. In every context of ministry, Dan has a passion to translate the Gospel in tangible ways so that every person can meet and embrace the love of Jesus. He loves walking the path of discipleship alongside others who are discovering a new identity and purpose for their lives. In all things, Dan longs to help people experience the grace and truth of God in real ways that touch down in their lives.
He lives this mission out with Anneke, his teammate and bride of over 20 years, along with their 4 teenage children who love Jesus and serve the Lord right alongside them: Lydia (20), Zeke (18), Liam (16) and Noelle (14). The Hudsons also provide temporary care for twin little boys named Elijah and Isaiah. In their spare time, Dan and his family love all things Wisconsin: the outdoors, traveling adventures, hiking, kayaking, hunting, fishing, restoring old cars (well maybe those last few are more for the boys : )
Dan is the City Director for LINC Milwaukee. LINC is all about coming alongside local leaders in and around Milwaukee to equip and support them in their calling to change the headlines in our city in the name of Jesus. Through leadership training, organizational strategy development and collaborative work with these leaders, more communities are experiencing the good new of Jesus in their own context by someone who comes from that community.
